 Jennifer Dean Biography

Jennifer Lynn Dean is the President and Founder of Dean’s Professional Services - Smith & Dean, Inc., an award winning staffing, staff development, and consulting firm. Jennifer was born and raised in El Dorado, Arkansas, and graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. 

Jennifer started her career in staffing over 22 years ago. In 1993, Jennifer started Dean’s Professional Services, specializing in medical staffing and consulting. Over the past 15 years, Dean’s Professional services has been a leader in the medical and staffing industries, continuing their reputation as a professional, customer service oriented company. Dean’s Professional Services is currently and previously listed in the 2010 Houston Business Journal’s Book of Lists as the 7th Largest Permanent Placement Firm, 17th Largest Temporary Placement Firm, 38th Largest Woman-Owned Company, 39th Largest Minority-Owned Company and 61st Fastest Growing Company (2010).

The experience Jennifer has gained as a business owner in the staffing, staff development and consulting has led to her strong desire to share her knowledge with others through public speaking. A highly sought-after speaker, Jennifer speaks more that 60 times a year to various medical associations, physician’s offices, educational centers, corporations and churches through the United States. She specializes in Healthcare Management, Customer Service, Motivational Techniques, Team Building, and Inspirational Seminars and Workshops. 

Jennifer has just written and published An Energy Drink for the Soul, Just a Taste, a 30-day journal and her best seller, An Energy Drink for the Soul, The 1st Sip, in addition to articles on Healthcare and Customer Services issues for the Houston Chronicle and a multitude of medical magazines.
